Meet the team
James HammondContact me
James is our Managing Director, he qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser at the age of 18. He began his career in Wales but for the last couple of decades he has been living and working in Cambridgeshire. James provided financial advice in local estate agents before setting up TuckerGardner Financial in 2008 which blossomed into Limetree Financial in September 2010. His areas of specialism is residential mortgages for high net worth clients, as well as commercial mortgages for business. He is regularly awarded the accolade of Top Adviser by VouchedFor.
James has two teenage daughters who both swim for City of Cambridge Swimming Club. He is a keen gym goer and golfer and enjoys getting away for a ski trip every year with his friends. He is also the co-owner of two of the three Limetree Pups - Bailey and Cai.
Sian HammondContact me
Sian has worked in financial services for over a decade and is a company Director. She heads up the mortgage support and administration side of the business. After studying biochemistry at university she worked in scientific research.
Sian has two teenage daughters who both swim at national level for Wales and England respectively, which means when she's not at work or walking the dogs you can normally find her at the pool. When she does get any free time she enjoys travelling with friends and exercising at the local gym. She is also the co-owner of two of the three Limetree Pups - Bailey and Cai.
Katie GawlerContact me
Katie is a company Director and has worked in financial services since leaving university in 2004. Her experience has been gained across the investment and mortgage sectors, gaining invaluable knowledge of regulation, operations and compliance. Most recently she was a partner at 7IM LLP in London where she headed up an operations team.
Katie is a firm believer in doing the right thing and embedding the principles of treating the customer fairly throughout the business and our relationships with clients.
When she is not at work Katie is kept busy running around after her two daughters and keeping them entertained. As a family they enjoy visiting other friends and relatives and being active outdoors.
Adam NunnContact me
Adam Joined us as a Trainee Mortgage & Protection Adviser in 2016. He built his industry knowledge base at Cambridge Building Society, where he worked in the mortgage department for four years. Since joining Limetree he has expanded his whole of market experience and has obtained the CeMAP qualification in Mortgage Advice and is now one of our Mortgage & Protection Advisers.
Adam has a passion for helping clients purchase and protect their assets, drawing upon his own home buying experience to advise and guide clients through the process.
Outside of work Adam enjoys keeping fit. He is a keen gym goer and runner, as well as an avid football fan, playing for his local side Over Sports Football Club in the Cambridgeshire Mens league.
Michael Taylor-BrownContact me
Michael joined Limetree in 2016 and has worked in the Financial Services industry for almost a decade.
He is a Company Director and specialist Mortgage and Protection adviser, having previously specialised in the New-Build market, assisting many clients with his experience in the Help-to-Buy scheme.
Michael is recognised as a five-star adviser and is regularly awarded the Top Adviser accolade by Vouched-For on an annual basis. As part of his career in Financial Services Michael has worked throughout East Anglia including Norwich, Ipswich and most recently Cambridge.
Outside of work Michael is typically found walking his dog Oscar (aka Ozzie the office dog) around the countryside or taking a run around his local village. He is a sport enthusiast with a history of being a season ticket holder for Ipswich Town FC.
Catherine HitchContact me
Catherine joined the Limetree family in July 2017 to provide our mortgage brokers with administration support. With 30 years at Barclays Bank in Personal Banking roles at Royston and Cambridge and several years working as an accounts assistant she is one of our most experienced members of the administration team. She has both CeMap and Institute of Banking qualifications. Catherine is naturally a detail orientated person and is proud of the back office support her role provides to clients and the team. She enjoys working with clients and particularly appreciates getting feedback so that she can improve her service or pat herself on the back for a job well done as and when!
Catherine lives with her husband and cat; her adult children have all flown the nest but she spends Sundays with her elderly parents. When she can she loves travelling anywhere to soak in history and culture.
Ben CooperContact me
Ben joined the company in July 2018 after working and living in New Zealand for 15 months. He has over 6 years of experience working within financial services industry and achieved his CeMAP qualification in November 2015. After 18 months in the administration team Ben is now shadowing the advisers with the aim of becoming an adviser himself later this year.
In his spare time Ben enjoys keeping fit, watching sport, cooking and socialising with friends.

Jon Porter is a Senior Mortgage and Protection Adviser and has been working in financial services for 14 years. He joined us in the summer of 2019 from Countrywide Mortgages and had previously worked with our Managing Director at TG Financial. His estate agency background provides a great foundation to specialise in first time buyers and home movers. His experience lends itself to helping his clients understand all aspects of buying a property.
When not at work Jon enjoys spending time with his family in their campervan and showing his BMX bike at shows. He lives in a close-knit community and organises events to raise funds with his neighbours for charities that are close to their hearts.

Karl Andrews joined the team in Autumn 2019. His role is to support clients through the administrative process of obtaining a mortgage. Having spent 10 years at Cambridge Building Society Karl he is well positioned to provide a high quality customer experience. He has ambitions to advise clients and is eager to develop his whole of market experience.
Born and bred in Cambridge this local lad enjoys working on his golf handicap when he’s not spending time with his wife and son.

Chloe Dyson joined Limetree in August 2019 as an Office Support Assistant – Business Administration Apprenticeship. After a stint in catering Chloe decided to look for an office-based learning role that would provide her with a broad experience and transferable skills. Chloe is learning about the administrative side of the financial industry and how to support clients. She is front of house for the office and will often be the person answering phones and welcoming clients.
When she’s not at the office Chloe enjoys spending time with her friends and going to the gym.

Bailey has been working in financial services for three years and was recently promoted to Senior General Dogsbody. As you can imagine he gets a bit too involved with Wednesday Lunch Club so he has been asked to work from home! Bailey is here most other days to welcome our clients and helps reduce the human team members’ stress levels. We have to be careful leaving our bags at dog-level as he has a talent for opening zips!
On his days off he loves nothing more than a haircut – he’s a seriously pampered pooch getting a trim more often than his owners! He is Cai’s brother by another mother.

Cai joined Limetree just over two years ago and this is his first foray into the heady world of finance. In his role as a General Dogsbody he gets involved with all of the team here. Cai will sometimes welcome our visitors with a friendly howl. Like the rest of us he loves his food and can often be seen proudly displaying his favourite toy turkey. Like Bailey he works remotely on Wednesdays!
When he’s not at work he enjoys fitness and gets very excited about going for a long walk. He‘s a real family man and loves socialising with his brother Bailey

Oscar (aka Ozzie) joined the Limetree Team in October 2018 as our Junior Office Dogs-body. As our youngest team member he has a lot to learn but definitely provides lots of entertainment and charms the clients. He’s a bit of a looker and loves going to the groomers. We like to keep things in the family here at Limetree, Ozzie is the nephew of Bailey our Senior General Dogs-body.
