In a superhuman effort, John Adamson, Simon Gardner and Alex Gray cycled 960 miles in only 9 days – with a total climb two and a half times the height of Everest. They were taking part in the gruelling Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
I did a double take when I saw John top of the final leader board – until I realised that’s what you get for having a surname beginning with ‘A’!
The estate agent directors did the epic ride for a great local cause – Teenage Cancer Trust’s 11 bed ward at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The ward opened in February and needs funding so that it can treat 200 young patients each year.
It’s not too late to contribute on their fundraising page.
Well done boys.
